Reconsiderations and Revamps

With some hindsight and experience, I’ve concluded my Orchestrylus Odyssey series needs a new launch as a standalone book, the first in a twenty-book odyssey. If at first you don’t succeed, rebrand until something clicks.

So many people who’ve made it tried one thing or another until they found an anchor to propel themselves higher.

The first three light novels will now be one story, known as The Symphonist. Each novel in the series will be around this length, and it will still be a twenty-book series.

Each cover will be styled the way this book has it, and the story segments of what were The Symphonist and The Lost Ships of Lim Wierre will also have manga paneling to make it all cohesive.

I desire to be more than good enough. I want to make something special.

The way the latest book turned out, it threw everything else out of sync and the quality has increased to the point where the other stories seemed out of place. The covers on the other two books weren’t the best either, so this is what I decided.

This way, the story works its magic in a tale that takes a bit of time to get through, and the world is set up properly.

I want my story to be different.

There are plenty of authors out there who write light novels, but not too many who write full-length novels with manga panels, if any.

I’m aiming for an April re-release and far better distribution. I’ve taken all three books off sales channels for now until the merged story comes out. It still follows the kishotenketsu format this way and I can refine the three tales into a solid narrative without retreading old ground.

One can’t put all their eggs in one basket, but I sure do like this basket. This series, for me, is like a colorful Easter basket with an array of eggs filled with delectable chocolate. I refuse to give up and I will do the work necessary to make this happen.

There are authors who revised, relaunched, renewed, and worked on things dozens of times before striking the right notes for their art.

There are musicians who tried assorted styles until they found their own distinctive sound.

And it is the people who are tenacious that end up doing what they desire to do.

God willing, this will work out. I must keep going.
