You Are Enough, and You Are Loved

You are enough.

Read that again.

You're enough.

The world tells us, from every angle, how we should feel about ourselves.

The truth is, it's God who gives us our value, and it's up to us to see it within ourselves.

"You're just this."

"You'll never be that."

"I liked you better when you were ten pounds less."

"You were more fun when you drank yourself to death. You're just boring now."

We must humble ourselves enough to know not to have inflated egos, yet at the same time have self-confidence.

If you know your innate worth, the right people will see your value, too.

Trying to take that perfect picture or keeping up with the neighbors for the sake of vanity isn't healthy for anyone.

There's nothing wrong with aiming for a D65 or D50 white point. Accuracy is a good thing.

But don't get too hung up on thinking your hair is five centimeters too far to the right, or you need fifty filters to look good.

If you think a Ferrari is nice, that's fine.

But don't make it your number-one goal to attain one because the neighbor has one.

Covetousness is not good.

Romans 7:7 "What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”

Contentment is a good thing to have.

Be happy with the blessings you have, and be thankful that God has many blessings in store for you.

Focusing on the wrong things blinds you to the right things, which come along exactly when they're meant to.

There's no need to covet, and there's no need to be ashamed of who you are.

God made you in the womb. He knows what's best for you, even when you don't.

There is a Hebrew saying that says everything that is meant for you is for you. It won't pass you by. That's real faith, real emunah.

To know God wants good things for you. All you have to do is pray, trust, wait, and give Him all the glory.

The right person will see you for who you are. Looking past the surface and to what really counts.

The right friends will lift you up, not laugh at your expense, and treat you with disdain. They won't force you to drink if you don't want to, and they will be there for you during the bad times, too.

Stay kind and true to yourself.

If you put God first, see your innate worth, and treat others right, you'll find life, and God will put you in places you never dreamed of.

You're valuable. Worth more than gold, silver, or an entire planet made of diamonds.

See yourself as God sees you.

Be the person He knows you can be.
