The World Is Changing

My political leanings are a bit like a bubble level, where the bubble is between the lines and leaning toward the right side, so it’s fairly level, but straying toward the right. But my bubble wants the government to leave me alone and I’m a Christian who studies enough to know other lifestyles aren’t necessarily against Scripture in certain cases, so I have libertarian sympathies.

If you’re a leftist, you have every right as a free-thinking person to be a leftist. If you’re a conservative, by all means be one.

In recent decades, it is an objective fact the left has lost the plot (but that’s beside the point).

As a believer one should submit to the authorities over us, so all powers come from God. That doesn’t mean letting tyrants kill innocent people and walk all over us, but even in the End Times, we conquer the Beast by not loving our lives to death.

I pray for our leaders, even the last one. We, as believers, are called to pray for those over us to rule justly.

Our current president was appointed by the people, but ultimately by God.

He may not be perfect, but he will, God-willing, do an excellent job. God uses whomever He will, and will judge him as He will judge me. God shows no partiality in judgment.

But, the reason I unfortunately am making this post is, people in my family circle have been taken over by the same spirit that led to the 1930s and 1940s.

Conspiracy theories, while they can be fun to discuss, are sometimes dangerous.

And they don’t often make a lot of sense, do they?

“These people control the whole world, but they’re letting this militant group attack them, but they control them. They put them in power. But they’re attacking their originators.”?!????

The reason Hitler came to power was his smooth speech and deceptive practices. And it led to the mass slaughter of one of the most persecuted people groups.

We are seeing repeating markers leading in that same direction.

My King is a Jewish man. And He is returning as a Zionist (Isaiah 34) to restore the Davidic monarchy and rule a world without wars.

Until Jesus comes, war is an unfortunate reality we all must live with.

But you can’t say you serve Him and wish for the destruction of the people whom He chastises, then restores them.

Everyone wants to quote the bad verses about their punishment, and how they’re evil, and they killed Jesus, or all the banks are owned by them. But no one wants to quote the beautiful poetry of Isaiah about their ultimate restoration.

Some people don’t even believe those in the land are the actual Jewish people. Based on Revelation’s letters saying there are some Jews who are not really Jews. Clearly, Jesus meant spiritually serving Satan, rather than an outright imposter. He still calls them a synagogue, after all.

We are not given many specifics, so it is unwise to tie that to any current people group.

And I must say this.

If your family member, your spouse, your parents, or whomever it may be go down the rabbit hole that led to the mass slaughter of a people, you must pray for them and separate yourself from them, because they are denying Yahweh.

I get it. There are innocents on the other side, too. But what other nations say, “We don’t want you to be a casualty of war, so please leave the area so we can uproot the real enemy.” What other nation drops a mass warning to civilians before striking almost every time?

I don’t like the casualties on either side, if I’m honest.

But actions do have consequences, and keeping the people safe is the duty of a nation.

A righteous nation will protect its people.

And there are bad people on either side. A soldier that tortures someone in a war zone is not honoring his service. But that doesn’t mean everyone is evil for the sake of it.

If there’s someone in your life that wants a certain group of people cut off, then it’s time to sever that connection. It doesn’t matter what side.

I’m appalled at what is happening in the world today.

And it’s now touched my own life in a way that can’t be ignored.

May God heal our world and come quickly, because this type of rhetoric is not okay.

As believers, we are called to love, but to stand up for what is right as well.

Think for yourself, but serve well after you have thought it through.

When Jesus returns, war will be a thing of the past.

Until then, we must pray people see the light in us, and for us to see the light in them.
